Voltage supply agrees with Fluke multimeter to within a few percent.
Oil drops whose velocities were dependent on applied voltage and direction were observed. this took about 30 minutes from the time it took to introduce oil drops into the chamber.
The thermistor which is used to measure the temperature of the bottom plate is either broken, or has been replaced with a different type whose values do not reflect those printed on the set up.
